I want to go back to the swing of things...
I want to go back to the swing of things as swiftly as possible. And with that I’ve decided to return my old feature I called “What’s On My Reading List?”
This is a special feature on Rainy Ink where I present you the books & manga I’m planning to read or currently reading. I decided to do this in hope that I’ll able to de-clutter my ever piling TBR.
This is gonna be a monthly thing since I’m trying to read at least one book a week (two if I’m lucky). As you can see the blog is seriously lacking book reviews and I want to rectify by doing this. Trying to schedule my books might help me with my goal.
All the ARCs!!! I went and checked EW again and saw bunch of books up for read (but I’ll sched the other on the coming months instead). Someone needs to put some sense to me. But the stories sounded so awesome that I can’t help but to cave in. Here’s my pile for October:
The Shadow Queen by C.J. Redwine
Thicker Than Water by Kelly Fiore
The Trouble with Destiny by Lauren Morrill
The Shadow Queen looks so menacing. DAT BLACK APPLE!!! I’ve seen so many thriller/mystery YA books from Harper, and from the bunch, Thicker than Water sounds more appealing to me. Then of course, I feel like the two were heavy weights so The Trouble with Destiny might lighten up the mood. Huh!
Noragami by Adachitoka
Ouji-sama ni wa Doku ga Aru by Yuzuki Jun
Uchuu o Kakeru Yodaka by Kawabata Shiki
Coffee & Vanilla by Akagami Takara
Tomo-chan wa Onnanoko! by Yanagita Fumita
Shoukoku no Altair by Katou Kotono
I finally caught up with Noragami. Now I’m terrified with what the anime has in store for us if the opening song is an indication of things to come. Please don’t disappoint me BONES! (but hot damn that opening song tho!!!). I’m having a blast reading Ouji-sama ni wa Doku ga Aru too bad it only has 5 chapters so far. Want me some more!!! >.< And my feels were slayed by Uchuu o Kakeru Yodaka. It tackles serious stuff like physical appearances. Does beauty matter? Is personality more important? I loved how it tackled those stuff there. Coffee & Vanilla is like FSOG without the BDSM. I love me some hot entrepreneur in my josei series, so I don’t care. Tomo-chan wa Onnanoko is 4-koma & hands down hilarious. The pain of being friend-zoned is strong! And lastly Shoukoku no Altair. I only tried the first chapter—the art blew me away. (all of this series are on-going damn it!)
This post is brought you by THE ORAL CIGARETTES’s 狂乱 Hey Kids!! Why are you so addictive, song?!
So how about you, how’s the reading pile? Overwhelming like mine? Care to share it with me?
