    August in a nutshell!

Can’t you believe it?! Tomorrow is September already! And you know what it means? It’s the ‘ber’ months, here in the Philippines, around this season people are already excited for upcoming Christmas holidays (we are pretty excited people, what can I say). Time flies so fast, I’m mean really fast. It feels like it was only just January and now we are almost at the end of the year. Also, I launched Operation: Rekindle. I think it was almost semi-successful.—

Initial Reaction: Terra Formars OVA 1

Finally watched the first OVA of Terra Formars and man wasn’t that shocking! There are so many things happened in just, what, over 25 minutes (I think) episode. I heard that they managed to squish a lot of material from the first volume. If you didn’t know, I’m really intrigued because there’s this some fictional, silver haired samurai who had finally graduated from JUMP and now reading Young Jump (Shueisha’s imprint for seinen series, this is where Tokyo Ghoul is—

Time to increase that reading list.

As if my reading list wasn’t long enough, I’m here still thinking of adding more titles. Some of the series I’m reading right now are already over; I just don’t have access for the remaining chapters. So I still label ’em on currently reading. And while the others…I just need my butt gearing up to finish them (since they are already out anyway). But this is me slacking and procrastinating as always. I’m regularly (and when I say ‘regularly’ means—

    When two shy people meet.

Ok, so first impression wasn’t all that striking. It’s why I ended getting sidetracked (yet again) with other titles and put this one on hold. I decided to read again from the very beginning just to refresh my memory. And the second time is a charm because now I absolutely love it. And gosh, there was a bonus chapter, a crossover sort of thing with Hiruka no Ryuusei. And by now you should know that I immensely love the latter—

Let me go back to my shounen series.

I have so many shoujo manga that I’ve been catching up lately (sans I already following before and finally caught up). Did also some refresher via rereading and now I’m in the mood for more action. Man, Naruto did a number on me. A miraculously, weird feeling was surging in on me when I was watching the latest episode anime: I felt happy (?) for the team 7’s revival. You know team 7 during the first Naruto series? You guys—

I’m an emoji maniac and oh, I was tagged!

I love emojis (I even have two sets of emojis installed in this blog as a proof). I frequently abuse it and most of the time my tweets end with emojis. So this was fun to do (and I might’ve presented it differently 😛 ) . I was tagged by the lovely Emily of Reverie Rhapsody. This meme goes like this: Use 5-10 emojis that you abuse frequently/are your favorites and pick a book or character that matches that emoji.—

    Hello? This is Ririko!

What’s up with the waters of the shoujo world? There are so many titles that appeal to my taste. I’m big fan of subtle romance and very mellow pacing. You know, Kimi no Todoke style. So I’m so happy that I get to read these awesome titles. I already mentioned some of them and my last post was about Hiruka no Ryuusei which easily became one of my favorite. And now, I found a new one! It’s called Rere Hello—

RE: some my fave shoujo series!

Even though my all-time favorites are mostly from the shounen genre, I’m still this silly girl who adores slice of life/romance series every now and then. When I came back I was completely surprised on how many great series serializing right now. I was easily fallen in love with ‘em. And that’s huge for me because I’m quite picky. I tend to love shoujo series that are mellow with bit of humor and the development of the couple is gradual.—

    Here I go! Operation: Rekindle

Your advices in my confession were really helpful. I’d realized that (and maybe it’s an easy assumption on my part, if it is…sorry?) we are bound to hit a book slump every now and then. It’s not something completely inevitable. Sometimes like this is needed to break the monotony. Of course, I want to halt this slump. I want to start reading. I want to feel that enthusiasm of starting a book, finishing it and then reviewing it. I miss—

More shoujo stuff are coming my way!

I have shoujo series that I’m quite invested these days. One of these is Hirunaka no Ryuusei. I absolutely adore this one. I just tried it without so many expectations. I have this thing called downtime where I want something nice, fluff to read/watch. Since shoujo manga is not that widely animated (at least the ones I like aren’t animated…yet!) like it does to shounen, I always cling to mangas to satiate this thirst for romance! And oh boy, do—

    July in a nutshell

At first, I didn’t know what to post for monthly wrap-up seeing I was almost nonexistent in this blog. I only posted four times! *OTL* What a depressing fact but I already said my piece here. But the desire to blog is there; reading books, however, I’m still struggling. Even with Silver Shadows debuting last Tuesday didn’t sway me. Anyways, I want to do something about it. I’m just going to take a break from reviewing books and focus on—
