The fine art of inner squeeing.

Thankfully I have the internet to unleash my inner fangirl. And what’s make the internet far more interesting is that I can easily find communities/groups that share the same passion as I am. So fangirling is not really an issue to me, at least if I’m online. But it’s very different when I’m back to reality. Have you done it before? Accidentally fangirled in public? It’s not that I’m ashamed that I’m bibliophile and an otaku. I think my friends/families—

    A wrap-up: Tokyo Ghoul Anime.

Ok, as promise, here’s my final say about the Tokyo Ghoul anime. I’m still lamenting over the sudden ending and still hoping for the sequel, with my fingers now crooked from perpetual crossing. I just hope something good came out of this. I’m still positive that there’s something in store for us…at least something. I think, everything has been said about the anime and manga comparison. It was rushed, butchered and heavily censored. I also complained about it, week after—

    2014 Summer Anime Wrap-up

Even though I’ve been reading a lot these days, the motivation to type all these things inside my head doesn’t seem to become a priority whenever I’m in front of the computer. I always slack and do other things. As always, I incredibly excel at procrastinating something I wish I’m not. But I’m extremely lazy person that’s why I envy those who manage to do things with such enthusiasm and consistency. But I’m not gonna talk about it here. I—

Is research can make or break a deal?

I’m reading Kaze Hikaru this afternoon. Manga volumes have omakes and I’m particularly love the author’s side story about their work process. One that caught my attention was Watanabe-sensei’s story about how she came up with her story and how difficult to integrate a historical events/people in the story. She almost gave up the idea but she loved it to the point she went and travel to places, and read many history books. Why the effort though? I know that—

To end TG hastily is a tragedy.

I was about to type my series wrap-up since summer anime series are now ending. But I was totally shocked when I open my RSS reader and the very first entry I saw has this title: Tokyo Ghoul Manga to End This Month. I might have double check if my eyes were deceiving me. My eyesight is poor. But there is that word, manga, and I now I’m ugly sobbing the whole way. I know the anime is ending but—

    Re: Shounen Manga Shout-outs! #1

As promised (who did I promise to? Ah, never mind.) Here’s my shout-out for the shounen series I follow. Lots of plot twist and reveals just happened. I’m only highlighting the four series I do follow (I think I mentioned it already before). For weekly series: Naruto, Haikyuu!, Tokyo Ghoul and Gintama (and might have mentioned Shingeki at the last bit). There’s going to be lot of rambling, as Kishimoto once again is pulling my leg with this annoying, frustrating—

    Re: Shoujo Manga Shout-outs! #1

I decided to do some shout-outs for the manga I read but I’ll divided them into two categories: shoujo (or josei) and shounen (or seinen). I’m going to do shoujo first since Hana to Yume & Margaret titles new chapters are released. I’ve already read the latest chapters so I might as well give my opinion on it (more like ramblings but let me pretend that I’m a clever fangirl even for just a minute) on the latest development. Akatsuki—

A cynical ✰ high school romantic comedy

You know what make a shoujo manga great? When you love the whole story and not just the ‘love’ story. Sure, it’s shoujo and it’s bound to focus on that aspect but sometimes when the two MC become a couple, one of the few things that the author can do to make it interesting is to break them off. It happens…almost all the time. Or the guy being a jerk *coughs* Mabuchi *coughs* to try and stall the inevitable. And—

    I’m ready for these awesomes!

Ok, since I remember it and I’m slacking on doing things I am supposed to do, I decided to post my most anticipated anime for Autumn 2014. Ok, the summer anime were pretty fab! I’m really enjoying the shows: Gekkan, Barakamon, Ao Haru Ride and of course Tokyo Ghoul. Some started good but eventually missed my heart and sunk low, like Zankyou no Terror for instance. But nevertheless the shows I’m watching right now are pretty awesome. But I’m definitely—

And then I meet them: Akatsuki no Yona!

I’m not the high fantasy type shoujo reader. Even in books I’m reluctant with this genre. It’s not my forte; not my territory. I’m not comfortable with it, I’m more on the slice of life slow pace sort of thing but when something barrages my comfort zone with awesomeness, I know I found a gem in it! I have so many anime that I’m excited to watch this fall (any by fall, I mean in Japan, as Philippines doesn’t have—
