    November in a Nutshell!

Mind boggling to know that tomorrow is already December and it’s the last month of the year! I know y’all are excited for the holidays, me included, but before we all get giddy over our Christmas presents and well deserve vacation, let me cap what’s happened in November! So Pretty eventful don’t you think? So many political issues thrown down both local & international and sad to see nations divided and selfish individuals thrive on these misunderstandings! Shame on ‘em!—

On Spotlight: Boku no Hero Academia

On Spotlight: A special post where I feature some of my favorite reads! Apart from my occasional “great rec post!” I’m also keen on giving full or in-depth post on series: may it graphic novels or in the future books that I truly loved. And perhaps you might pick this up and read it, too! Expect Boku no Hero Academia 『僕のヒーローアカデミア』 to be part of this year’s Best of the Best.  Because it is pretty obvious & irrefutably qualified to—

Goodbye three digit numbers…from now on, four digit numbers!

Hi, dear self you have managed to post 1000 blog entries! Yes, this is your 1000th blog post! *cue starts talking normally again* I don’t know why I decided to spare a brief moment to party over this milestone, but I feel like it’s something worth doing. Last year, I was working on my goal to achieve my 1000th post, hopefully before the year ends (2016)! Turned out I can actually do it with even a month to spare! So—

    Just a one hit wanderer??!!

Can you call someone your favorite author if you only liked/loved one of this person’s work? Have you experienced loving a piece of literature so much and in the process fell for the author because of it? And you look forward reading more work from this person. But the second time was a flop to you. So were the third try…and the fourth? And you feel like the fifth ain’t gonna work out for you, too. It looks like you—

Blogger Session: Let me talk about my writing style!

Know this, I’m very laid back kind of person and I want that kind of vibe to reflect on my writing! I don’t want to write professionally on my blog (ugh, that’s too tiring) so the way I write my post is almost the same way if I talk to you in person (well that is if you’re someone I’m comfortable with.  I, in fact, wear a hard to crack social barrier that make me act so awkward & inaudible—

Some of my favorite go-to reread manga series!

I’ve mentioned this over and over that you guys are probs sick of it. But lemme say it again: I’m huge advocate of rereading. There’s something really fun and productive (in a way) to read a series that you immensely loved. Knowing things prior is never a hindrance to enjoy it. In fact knowing things ahead kinda make me excited. Sometimes when you just read mediocre series after mediocre series you feel so fed-up & curse everything. But rereading reignites—

    I’m not my favorite characters.

Yep, I’m not. I’m baffled when people assumed that you are what you read. I know I was very vocal on how Takemoto (of Honey & Clover by Umino Chika) echoed my situation back then. Lost, confused and afraid of the unknown—future. We had similar situation but still we weren’t the same. I’ve read several reviews, which mostly are negative reviews of the series I liked, presumed that because I liked this detestable character, I am or or inclined to—

Regular: What’s On My Reading List?

In some weird coincidence there was some sort of cohesiveness to the themes of the manga I read last month. Some were about brothers—step-siblings, childhood friends turned lovers, titles starting with months, etc, etc. I just find that awesomely amusing! When I was organizing this post I was like ‘what are the odds’ or ‘I’m such a simpleton, what’s so funny about this?!’ Haha, I know some of you might not get it, don’t mind me I’m just being my—
