On Spotlight: A special post where I feature some of my favorite reads! Apart from my occasional “great rec post!” I’m also keen on giving full or in-depth post on series: may it graphic novels or in the future books that I truly loved. And perhaps you might pick this up and read it, too! (Banner from freepik!) Despite the numerous times I mentioned and featured Ballroom E Youkoso, I still haven’t discussed it in full detail (and by “full detail” I mean word vomit by fangirl, but yeah semantics!) So, I decided to showcase this amazing sports series that
It’s that time again. I usually wait for at least 4-5 episodes before I give first impressions but I decided to change that and give my verdict (lol verdict!) after the premiere or first two eps. Why? Because my first impression and wrap-up are too close for comfort! >.< So I decided why not change it! And besides it’s called first impression! So it should live up to the title! LOL Anyway, there’s nothing really WOW me, I mean there are couple of anime I do love (like three of them) but I’m still keeping up with the rest because
So do you? Actually my topic is broader; it caters to our fannish tastes (not just reading choices)! Like have you tried reading/watching an old series remembering it so fondly because of your emotional attachment, then only to find out that the sparks you and this series shared was long gone. It was nothing more than fleeting entertainment now—sometimes an embarrassing fangirl moment you want to deny (OK that was extreme; I’m not in that point yet!) Well not really embarrassing but sometimes I go back to old series & realized I now don’t feel the same way like before.
Who loves villain raise your hands! And while I can’t see your hands though I’m pretty damn sure that you all agree with me that villains like the protagonist is equally important to characterize properly. For me their purpose is not just to serve conflict to the MC but also provide another perspective of the plot. I always love dissecting characters persona. The grayer the representation the better for me! It’s so interesting to know the depth of their thinking and logic behind their goals. I already mentioned this post about villains years back, but I haven’t highlighted the type
I’m going to start this post with something ever so cliché: someone said that the only constant in this world is change! And that’s true in every life situation. There’s nothing in this world that doesn’t change! So roll those eyes when your so called friends tell you to “not change.” Haha, /JK only but really, change isn’t specific. It can be for the better or for the worst! But change is necessary, and I understand the apprehension that involves with the process! Don’t worry those things are warranted—expected but don’t be too cautious! Because unless you do it you’ll
I love princess stories but not your average one where these princess is just on the lookout for her prince charming! I want ones that have solid plots! I want a story of a girl that stands her ground! That she is capable of fighting for herself. I also prefer if her prince isn’t just pretty guy riding his ever cliché elegant white horse (not there’s something wrong with those—just ain’t my type!) I want who’s strong both emotionally and physically so both of them together become each others strength! So today I’ll share you my favorite royal gals who
Pretty satisfied with my manga reading last December! I was pretty happy with the series I tried. Yeah, “tried” because while I read a decent amount I’ve never gone past one or two volumes (and those I want more are currently ongoing like Bara Kangoku no Kemono-tachi which I absolutely adore! ) Anyway, I’m pretty pump up for the New Year so hopefully this enthusiasm transfer to my reading habits (perhaps to books as well). Gotta keep it up, keep it up!
