October: When life gives you lemons, make some lemonade!

Ah, I feel like wrapping up October already (fyi: wrote this three days before I scheduled it), although I dread the incoming month, also! Let’s just say that sometimes I get tired at picking up all the lemons on my way—it isn’t thrown at me per se but, yeah. Lemons there, lemons here, everywhere lemons! Life is tough! But I know God is there with me, like what in 1 Peter 5:7 says “Cast all your anxiety on him because—

I’ve always been in love with words.

I’ve always been in love with words and I just didn’t notice it. I’ve posted something before how notorious journal writer I was (am actually, since I’m still keeping a personal diary). I started writing my diary at 10 years old. When my teacher in elementary school introduced the concept of writing things down, it sparked something in me. I continued it after. I made my extra notebook my diary and that was very start of my journal writing adventure.—

That thing called “Reading out of your comfort zone!”

You know what, I still have some genres or subjects that I won’t read but it’s unlike the reader me before who was a cautious little rascal when it comes to her choices. While it’s thrilling to say that I sometimes seek reads that are different from what I normally consume but that isn’t all there is to it. I still find reading stories that fall under my normal/typical list more ‘comforting’.  But yes, sometimes I look out or consider—

30 things I’ve realized now that I’m in my 30s!

Inspired by various people’s posts, I’ve decided to do mine as well. Let’s backtrack first: during my mid-twenties I kinda accepted that well, I’m old now…that I’m not as young as before (duh!). That sometimes I have back pains in the worst days. That I have to suck it up and face the day. That I have bills to pay so I need to withhold buying things I want. Those stuff. When I actually and officially turned 30 last year,—

Some of my fave shoujo mangaka (art style edition!)

I said before that art no longer matters to me, but of course it’d be a total lie if I say I don’t have preferences. Of course I do! I am all for pretty, kawaii aesthetics. So when it comes to shoujo manga, I dare say that very first thing that will immediately grab this visual fanatic person (aka me!) is the art! Sure, sure that a LOT of shoujo manga failed me in this aspect—pretty to the eyes, numb—

    The absolute fun in reading!

Funny thing is I wasn’t a fan of reading when I was younger!  When Twilight hit the big screen and people were gaga over which team they were part of that was when I decided to ‘check’ it out. I ended up reading Twilight series in one week. Yes, me, the same person who abhorred reading had actually read and enjoyed a book series! Not one book. Now two. But four! This was the game changer to me. Back before—

Just another post about blogger longevity!

First, a greeting is in order, Happy 7th Blogoversary my sweet, sweet blog! Three years ago I wrote three simple ways on how to stay longer in this blogger game! And while time to time I’m losing some of that steam but I still find myself returning and revamping my blog. Because to me it isn’t just a simple blog anymore. I put some hard work, at the same time I sincerely enjoy it—without so much outside factor influencing my—
