This is my third attempt (and I’m pretty sure it’s not the last—at least name wise ) on rebranding and only once did I wipe out my old post when I decided to change things up. I said this over and over again that this blog was originally a personal blog called Skye Station then I turned it to book blog, and went by the name Aeropapers. And when I became an otaku again I switched it and fused it with Kyaa (my now defunct anime + manga blog), Rainyink was born. And then here we are, another name—Faiery: where my love for stories and whatnots all come together. Despite all the numerous reincarnation I chose to keep my old posts.
Why is that you ask? A big chunk of it is nostalgia and the remaining percentage is because I worked hard on each post I published, there is Tagalog word for it, panghihinayang. And while yes, some (a lot?) are questionable in quality but I just like to see my random, excessive rambles to still exist. I want to read ‘em from time to time! And to have a sort of an archive of all my spattered opinion on things—so yeah I love to keep them.
But even with number of changes and domain names I’ve already made—my blog didn’t completely stir away from initial reason why I started to blog in the first place. I even think that I returned to my roots: now I also post personal things (take the ‘personal’ aspect with a grain of salt!), the bookish part, and well, yeah I don’t read books recently but I’m still a super passionate reader! I still read. As a matter of fact I read every day. I still talk about anime + manga, now I added webtoons in the bag! So I thought my blog is growing in each change I made!
So I think if ever I make changes again or rename I will keep my old posts still there, available to read! It’s a huge accomplishment for me to see all the time and effort I spent in blogging actually accessible! I don’t care if looked cluttered or messy but to me, they’re my children born out of my mind, available in this space!
