Anime, News /

Officially April 1st here, and this is my monthly wrap-up. And it ain’t a joke! (ha, I fail at pun ^^; )

Here’s a breakdown of what happened last month. I think it improved compare to February. *self-confidence regained*  :]

March in a nutshell!

Review Index!

You might consider this a very minimal progress but I feel so accomplished knowing I read (and reviewed!) three books this month. This is not an April fool’s joke. I repeat, not a joke!

Other fandoms, passion & whatnots:

This marks the start of summer season here (although I heard a typhoon is coming this weekend, which is super weird. But I can feel the humidity already. ) and the end of the last two seasons of anime shows I’d been watching. I already made very short commentary about it on my other blog. But I’m combining fall/winter best-est, so here they are:

Tokyo Ghoul √A (Studio Pierrot), Akatsuki no Yona (Studio Pierrot), & Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso (A-1 Pictures)

I think it’s the most productive month so far (need to beat this pathetic record!). Sure, still minuscule compare on how I used to post before but I’m gaining the motivation little by little. So hopefully, I didn’t jinx myself after admitting that. Huh!!!

And that’s it! That’s what had rolled down this March, so now I turn over to you beautiful bookish peeps; how’s last month?! Fun? Exciting? Whatever that is, share it with me!!!

Congrats on reviewing 3 books! haha 😉 My comment for once is about the anime. I’m adoring Yona’s! Doesn’t it king of remind you of Fushigi Yuugi? I’m kind of afraid of how this anime will end due to the similarities. Haha, but please no spoilers! I don’t get Mangas here 😛

      Thank you, I’m so proud that I got to read three books. It’s big leap from none at all to three books. The anime is finished, it’s very faithful to the source material (:manga, aw too bad you don’t get it there. I buy mine online, maybe try that method too). It does have FY vibe but has more solid plot & very strong heroine. Miaka sometimes pissed me off, unlike Yona who is very, very likeable. ^^;

  2. You definitely did a good job blogging and reading for the month of March! Unlike me… *kicks self* And eeep, I can’t believe I missed out on your review of A Darker Shade of Magic. Kind of sad that you didn’t enjoy as much as you expected you would, but all the same, at least it wasn’t too bad. I hope I’ll get to read it soon!

Ugh, I am SO SAD that so many good anime have ended! Makes me feel a little empty inside, haha. I didn’t really like Tokyo Ghoul √A at first, admittedly, because it was too slow and draggy, but the last few episodes were great. Now bracing myself to watch the final one, even though I already got spoiled for it thanks to tumblr. T_T And eeep, the last episode of Shigatsu made me shed a few tears. I will never forget my babies. :’)

So far the spring anime line-up doesn’t look as enticing as winter 2014, but that’s probably because I haven’t heard of any of those anime or their manga counterparts. I’ll probably try Ore Monogatari!! because it sounds pretty good. 😀 Hoping you have an even better April, Mitchii~!

Do read it, maybe you’ll like it. ADSOM is too…magical? LOL Tumblr is not the best place if you don’t like spoilers. It’s littered with so much information. But man, I did like it. But I wish a reboot. It deserved a great adaptation which sadly Pierrot didn’t deliver.

Spring line-up looks good to me, then again one of my favorite series is returning so I might be biased. But yes, try Ore Monogatari it’s a ball! Great, funny & cute series! <3

  3. Woot! You’ll get back into the swing of things soon, Mitchii. 😉

Three books is not too shabby. Almost one a week, which is a lot more than other people read. ^_^

Eep, I’ve been slacking off my anime to-watch list. Tokyo Ghoul and Akatsuki no Yona are both high up there. It’s been a while though, so maybe I’ll watch a quick, lighter slice of life/school/romance anime first. Any recs? 😉

    • Mitchii G. says:

That’s what I’m trying 1 book a week. So I’m glad that I almost hit my target. ^^

Tokyo Ghoul and Akatsuki no Yona are both faves of mine. Definitely check it out! <3

Yay! I’m happy to see that you’re back to reading and reviewing again. I do certainly hope that it will stay like this or even improve next month and the months after that <3 Ahh I did not finish TG root A 🙁 I think I prefer the manga more and I'm a little bummed that I didn't enjoy it. Spring has some interesting fantasy shows I intend to watch though! Owari no Seraph is my most anticipated title! I'm guessing yours is Gintama? ;D

    • Mitchii G. says:

Hopefully, it’ll improve; definitely want to return to the swing of things. Owari is on my maybe-list. I’ll try the first ep then if it’s good I’ll continue. Yes, Gintama!!! I’m so excited for it! <3
