BOOK-BLOGGER-TAG

(With how things move around here at my blog, I decided to push back some my prepared content for later (as in April). But I do have another special otaku post set before I do my wrap-up! Things just zoomed so fast once second week rolled in, which enabled me not to do much blogging (I think I’ll save my whining for my recap).

The awesome Alex of Books, Cats & Maths (I love how there now book/anibloggers out there, ‘cos I consider myself as one. heart_bounce ) tagged me to do this the secret life of a book blogger tag,. And I like the questions prompted by this tag so here I go! kao_wink

How long have you been a Blogger?

Like more than a decade already. But I officially started as personal blogger in 2006 (livejournal) then moved to WordPress (self-hosted) in 2010. Yeah, I’m quite the veteran. bedazled

At what point do you think you will stop?

In all honesty I haven’t thought of quitting. My passion for blogging is still in full steam! I love brainstorming for ideas. Writing posts on the whim. Fangirling to my heart desires. blush There something so positively encouraging to know I have an outlet to share bits and pieces of my passion.

What is the best thing?

Friends, things I’ve learned or still learning (like I learned how to code WP, I think my writing is a bit decent), and for the sole reason that I’ll be able to express myself. I’m quite the introvert, the only  place I can flail unashamedly is on my blog. And that itself inspire to get better and continue on!

What is the worst thing?

Slump? Honestly, I haven’t encountered blogging stuff I can consider “worst.” A bit of laziness here and there. Lack of ideas. You know, usual stuff!

How long does it take you to create/find pictures to use?

On my downtime (or when I’m not blogging) sometimes I go to places like unsplash and similar sites and download images I might use in the future. But right now, more often than not I like to use my own images (especially for featured/special) posts. So this is why I now write posts days/weeks beforehand so I get to prepare the photo I’ll use and shoot it myself.

Who’s your book crush?

Aaron Warner! happy

Which author would you like to have on your blog?

Sui Ishida. kao_cheering I really admired this man’s talent! I also find him charming through his tweets and how  generally communicates with his fans, colleagues and acquaintances. He’s quite a guy.

What do you wear when you write your blog?

Home clothes. I have never blog anywhere else anyways. This is comprised of shorts, very comfy t-shirts (PH is hot like HOT!!!—especially now summer is approaching) with my bangs tied in weird, childlike ponytail (bangs cover my eyes, it’s distracting…). I sometimes have food beside me when I blog because I get hungry while surfing the net…

How long does it take you to prepare?

An hour or less. More than that drives me crazy. I’m not really a perfectionist (quite obviously) so I tend to post (with prepared materials in hand) in rapid time length! (yeah I know, Mitchii you’re such a slob!!!)

How do you feel about the book blogger community/culture?

So much love~ you guys, each one of you are awesome and made of equally doses of amazingness!

What do you think one should do to have a successful blog?

Enjoy it! Really, to sustain the passion you need to really enjoy what you do! It shows on your posts on how much fun you’re having. Don’t stress too much if you can’t keep up with other blogs or the community. I don’t say you have to disregard them but being part of the community doesn’t mean you don’t have individuality. You have to personally like the things you do with your blog and the will carry you on!

Not tagging anyone (to avoid pressure) but if this pleases you and want to answer it yourself, then with all means do it! Don’t forget to tell me that you do so I can read it! kao_kiss
