News / in which mitchii did some useful things.

I hate how inconsistent my blogging mood. Last February I was on the roll~ making those fun shoujo posts and stuff. And then March came, I was enthusiastic because I had everything laid out but second week came, I ended up doing stuff all over the place & kinda neglected my blog so I only had come up with unspectacular minuscule number of posts. I want to do better this April—it is summer so I might be back on the swing of things!

In retrospect March was little chaotic, somewhat moody & kinda spontaneous!

March in a Nutshell

I have total of four posts—quite few, huh? As per usual I shared you series on my currently reading list & you may (or may not) notice that I have ZERO books there. As I explained in that post, I gave up forcing myself to read books when I’m not in the mood. In fact I didn’t request any print ARCs for spring because I have an inkling I might not read/finish it again. It’s better to have those copies to someone who will read/review it

But on the contrary, out those four posts, half of it was bookish related. I talked about re-reading again, and ask how much can we read it? Then I also share (little) older retelling books with fairy tale themes! Quite happy with that! Also, I was tagged to do the the secret life of a (book) blogger tag . Had fun answering that! Thanks Alex!

And of course, I shared my last impression with my winter anime & sneak peek of my spring watch-list—I’m quite disappointed with the line-up TBQH. But let’s see!

Other fandoms, passion, RL & whatnots:

  • I also didn’t read a lot of new manga. Most of them are short & finished series. So you’ll know which one is which on my next what’s on my reading list for April. Like I mentioned earlier, March was chaotic.
  • I might’ve slipped this little info on twitter but I might be travelling to Japan this November. A little backstory: after our Malaysia trip last year, the idea of going to Japan has been playing in my mind. But I was just tossing the possibility if I can do it but I wasn’t really that resolved to put that idea in action. I needed a certain push; so one night I spontaneously booked flight…and yeah, so I guess I have to work hard on it now since I made the first step. Of course, it may or may not happen, still. I have VISA to sort out. Ultimately my going there is still uncertain. But I’m quite happy that I’m assertive enough to try. I’m usually a coward so this is a big step for me. (Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established. – Proverbs 16:3). It’s all in God’s plan.

I look forward to—!

  • April…summer. I don’t look forward to the unbearable heat. Thankfully it’s not as humid as it was last year (because last time March’s temperature was already awful!) But summer! April! Be good to me!
  • I’m also planning some reorganization around my blog! It’s a little messy here so I’m tweaking & changing stuff. So yeah!

So that’s what had rolled down this March so now I turn over to you beautiful people: How was March?! Fun? Exciting? Whatever that is, share it with me!!!

I agree that March is a pretty neglected month, even for me. I didn’t blog throughout February due to exams and I had to revamp my blog and stuff and it was only during these days that I actually blogged. 😝
I enjoyed reading your shoujo posts though shoujo isn’t exactly my kind of genre. 😁
On the other hand I didn’t get much reading done either. I only read Hirunaka no Ryuusei once the exams got over because I was so excited and a wattpad book and I didn’t pick up a book or a manga after that. One reason is because I’m focusing on writing and reading clashes with writing so I’ve kept it aside.
Ooh, you’re visiting Japan! I did see your tweets but I didn’t ask anything (how stupid of me) so when are you going? What places are you planning to see? Are you going to be buying anything?

Pretty much same for me! Oooh~ didn’t know shoujo isn’t your genre. I’m glad that you still liked it. That’s so cool, every time I hear some bloggers tell about their WIP I’m kinda bit jealous. xD Even though I have stories I’d like to share, I don’t know if I’m capable enough to put down the words. So for now, ideas are in the safety of my head. <3
I booked flight in November, though it's still uncertain with VISA and all. But I'm crossing that it'll push through. xD
