Hey, hey, hey! It’s October and you know what it...

Hey, hey, hey! It’s October and you know what it means? It’s my birthday month and my blog’s too. Sweet isn’t it? But I don’t do celebration. I’ve been running this blog for 3 years and never did I do anything fancy with the years that pass by and I’m not breaking the tradition this year. But the post isn’t about my whining, just like other week, I found another interesting meme that I’ve decided to answer. It centers on blogging. (I originally saw it on http://strawberrysingh.com)

Meme instructions: Copy and paste the following questions and answers to your post, delete my answers and input your own. [*]

How long have you been blogging?

Blogging in general since April 2006. Book blogging since October 2010.

Why did you start blogging?

I always wanted a place to share my thoughts no matter how awkward or strange I deliver them (blame my poor English). Actually The Aeropapers was a general blog before it became a book blog. When I noticed that books and book related topics were starting to dominate my blog I decided to give it its own space.

How many times a week do you post an entry?

Depends on my mood but roughly around 3-4 times a week.

How many different blogs do you read on a regular basis?

Like thirty…I think. I don’t follow a lot of blogs. To be perfectly honest I choose the blogs I follow carefully. I wanted something that has rich content, interesting topic and reviews books (in short the opposite of mine).

Do you comment on other people’s blogs?

Honestly, rarely. Like minuscule. I do read blogs and sometimes I want to comment but I’m a little intimidated. But I’m trying to reach out. I’ve come to realize that commenting is an important part of blogging.

Do you keep track of how many visitors you have?

Statcounter sends me email every month. Sometimes when log in to my Cpanel I checked my awstats. It’s nice to know that people visit my blog. 🙂

Did you ever regret a post that you wrote?

Sometimes, like why I didn’t read them before I publish (so I can see and edit the errors). But like regretting posting it because of something? Just once.

Do you think your readers have a true sense of who you are based on your blog?

Do you blog under your real name?

Nope. I have an online alias and has used it ever since. So yes, please do call me Mitchii.

Are there topics that you would never blog about?

Since this is a book blog the topics I think I wouldn’t blog are the books that I don’t read it. But those are really few. But I’m not saying it with finality. I’m not entirely closing my doors.

What is the theme/topic of your blog?

Books and the likes!

Do you have more than one blog? If so, why?

I have like 3 active blogs. One is my livejournal; the other one is for my domain; and lastly this one, for books. I’m not really that active with the first two. But my livejournal is my oldest blog. It’s a private journal (so if you visit it you can’t read my entries).  It’s been my journal since 2006 (like 7 years, ha?). But I’m more active with Aeropapers among all my web projects.

What have you found to be the benefits of blogging?

A lot. I learned how to make my own WP theme. And while it is still a work-in-progress, I think my writing is improving. I meet awesome people. I read awesome books. It’s an awesome, awesome hobby.

So, why do you continue to blog?

I love it and all the perks I get because of it!
