Kinda disappointed with summer list this year because last year was all kinds of epic. In fact anime from last year ignited the inner otaku in me. There was Nozaki, Barakamon and of course, Tokyo Ghoul. When I was checking the list of the upcoming shows I was little saddened that I only have three series I’m interested to follow. But the good news is that almost all the series I’m following for spring is still ongoing! Arslan Senki (which I put it on-hold: there’s always that one series I tend to forget), Gintama, Ore Monogatari and Shokugeki no Souma are still not finished. So hells yeah!

Owari no Seraph

I think from my first impression that y’all knew how much I loved this series (yes, flaws & all). I’m little wary with changes that happened in the series but since we were informed that second season that will be aired in October has original content I digested everything. It’s not like that changes were big but I think I prefer the pacing of manga than the anime. But the animation, as well as the music was splendid & that somehow did compensate the nit-pickings.

Kuroko no Basket

I watched the second to the last episode just yesterday and oh boy was that intense?! Kuroko was crying. AOMINE WAS CRYING! Minna was yelling, cheering, it was all sorts of dramatic with extreme basketball happening in that 24 minutes episode. I already read the manga so I know what it’ll gonna be but I was surprised that there’s gonna be OVA afterwards. About what? I think it’ll expand that small epilogue at the end of the last volume. Well, don’t quote me, I just saw the speculation floating round. Overall I enjoyed the series! 😀

Aoharu x Kikanjuu 『青春×機関銃』

  • Episodes: TBA
  • Aired: July 3 2015
  • Studio: Brains Base

Some gender bender going on and of course action what’s not to like? Well, I hopefully will really like it. What initially draw me in was the art, it was really pretty. I don’t usually check anime trailer unless I accidentally stumble across it but the summary and art made me decide to try it.

GOD EATER 『ゴッドイーター』

  • Episodes: TBA
  • Aired: July 5 2015
  • Studio: ufotable

I need me some manly action and I think God Eater fits the bill. I love how bleak but very strong the promotional art of this series. I heard it was based of a game so it is safe to assume that hopefully it’ll have all those thing that make a good action series, well, good.

Akagami no Shirayuki-hime 『赤髪の白雪姫』

  • Episodes: TBA
  • Aired: July 7 2015
  • Studio: Bones

I tried the manga before and only managed to get up to 10 chapters. But that was years ago, I’m now willing to pick it up again but I decided to watch the anime first and see it’ll have the usual effect on me (the motivational boost). I have high hopes of the quality of this one because it is produced by one of my favorite anime studios. And also since I’ve been reading few historical manhua and manhwa, perhaps I’ll be able to get into it with much ease this time.

I might (‘might’ is the operative word in this phrase) try these:

  • Ushio to Tora
  • Classroom ☆ Crisis
  • Kangoku Gakuen
