    The Equally Important “Side” Characters

When it comes down to it, my favorite characters are always the main leads. They’re the protagonist for a reason; and it’s very rare that I fell hard (like super into it) for the rest of the characters of the story. But even though I don’t put ’em in my non-existent hall of famers, I find that these characters are equally important to the grand scheme of things. I remember sometimes when I read a novel; there is always lack—

How I choose my OTP/s (do I actually choose it?)

When it comes to shipping I’m the girl to ask! OK, not really because I tend to be very erratic when it comes to my OTPs. Although certain tropes helped mold the ‘one’ I must say that when the pairing hit me so hard, it just hit me so hard—solid heart-racing feels that is! Do I need to emphasize how notorious shipper I am? I think I have written tons of spazzing about my woes and foes as one.  Also—

Does everything need to resolve (in endings?)

Do you like a conclusive endings, or open-ended ones? Either ways when you start the story you’re bound to reach the end. Ending is ultimate goal, right? It’s where all stories are heading to. And so, we—or I guess me who is a type of reader that nit-picks the ending. BUT! Yes there’s a big but there, it all depends on the story. There are certain stories that I want a more conclusive, solid ending. With all the loose ends—

Singing, here’s to never growing up!

Back when I was in my bookish persona, I tend to skip anime channels to my late father’s surprise. He got used to me flipping between music or anime shows. But I didn’t watch anime or read manga back then, I solely focused on reading book (which makes me think that it’ll come back eventually it’s just no wow book has ever captured me right now. And yes, not without lack of trying.) Well, fast forward today I’m still this—

To art or not to art! (art in graphic novels)

If you’re gonna ask the Mitchii of ten years ago, she will probably say yes—she is an art elitist.  She likes her manga beautiful, the panels well arranged, apart that story needs to be interesting! My requirements were pretty much out there. But y’all know I took four years absence from anything anime & manga, and concentrated in reading books. So when I returned I had tons of new manga to savor, it was an incredible feeling! But being a—

On Spotlight: The Breaker & The Breaker: New Waves

On Spotlight: A special post where I feature some of my favorite reads! Apart from my occasional “great rec post!” I’m also keen on giving full or in-depth post on series: may it graphic novels or in the future books that I truly loved. And perhaps you might pick this up and read it, too! I’d been eyeing The Breaker for the longest time. I have good experience with manhwa that geared towards action plus the art from what I’d—

In which Mitchii find herself in another obsession.

I touched the unknown ground called webcomic/toon—the very same place the snob, manga elitist Mitchii of before avoided like a plague. I like the traditional look that manga or the usual black and white pages I’ve grown accustomed to better; and forgive me manhwa lovers I just don’t like the art style (of course there’s an exemption to this rule because I do love the art of Goong and Bride of the Water God but those messy hairstyles, eccentric fashion—

I ain’t history buff but love to read ’em!

I think my reconciliation with my biggest passion—anime & manga—led me to opening many doors. And while I said that I was already huge otaku before I was still quite selective of what I’ll watch or read. There are genres that I’m not comfortable to try. One of them is historical-fiction and high-fantasy. I implemented this mindset with books as well. But as a bookworm I’m more lenient to genres I normally brushoff. So I guess that is why when—
