Sparks Fly! What I consider swoon worthy moments!

It was Valentine’s Day last Thursday, and continuing my love fest posts for the lurve month, here’s another one, that maybe invaluable to your life, but I need to speak up (like majority, if not, all of my posts) Allow me to explain my favorite swoon worthy moments. Actually, what do I consider swoon worthy moments. Kiss? Confession? Amusement park date? Yeah, I’m gonna do the full deets. *excited* I think I’ve said before that I’m not into grand gestures.—

    Shipping like a girl-boss in non-romantic series!

Sometimes shipper remains a shipper regardless of the genre or demographics. Case in point? Me! There are plenty of times that I ship pairings in a series where the romance is not really its priority…or there’s none at all. But somehow it doesn’t deter me from rooting the couple, because I know chemistry when I see one so what else can I do? I just indulge to shipper’s impulses. The craving I tell you, is hard to deny. It’s not—

How Many Love Interests Are Too Many?

Love triangles are my game. I love being conflicted over which one to ship! Sometimes I selected team and root him til the series end. It’s just so fun, even though I know it’s huge emotional investment (I had times that my heart got broken over sunken ships. Yes, looking at you Toba my bb!! ) But there is something more extreme that I also have bit of tendencies. Any guesses? No? Oh well, if the title isn’t obvious enough—

Twenty Eighteen’s Best of the Best!

It’s that time of year once again! I’m quite pleased with how my reading progress went this year. And unlike last year where it was kinda difficult process because of my very, very small pool of manga to pick! It was a happy struggle to know I have so many manga and webtoons to choose from because of how productive my 2018 is in terms of reading. So that’s the good part, the downside of this all is my anime—

A delicious slice of life in these manga series!

Last month I shared my guilty pleasure reads, and by my definition is something I sometimes want to indulge in and not really I read often. What I really do crave are slice of life series: something light, something nice and maybe in between something fluffy, too. It doesn’t have to be too romance-y though, it could be about friendship and family something just celebrates life and its littlest moments. That’s what I seriously love to read! If you ask—

My shoujo manga guilty reads! My fave mature romance!

I think the concept of guilty reads is more on people perception to the subject as opposed to your own. To me, my guilty pleasure reads are something I don’t often enjoy but crave it once in a blue moon. And  while I adore light slice of life shoujo manga: where two main leads blushes furiously over holding hands, sometimes I venture to the mature side! Now, even though I read them, I rarely like series that is ONLY it,—

I think I’ll be perpetually in love with the romance genre!

I think “romance” genre is overly saturated; there are just so many of them already. But it is the genre of my comfort reads and I love reading it. I don’t shy away from confessing my undying love for shoujo manga—which mostly are romance stories!  Also josei! And even if I’m reading shonen or seinen sometimes I do ship couples in there as well! There’s something uplifting about shipping and seeing these characters affection grows throughout the story is something—

Twenty Seventeen Best of the Best!!

This is kinda easy and somewhat kinda hard list to do. One, I reread so much this year (look out for my yearly stat report about it) that I only have few titles to pick from. It’s hard in the sense, since you know it’s the “best” list soooo they should be the best (well, they are! They are! But it felt like I didn’t have lots of contender so it was winner came by default). Secondly, not only did—

Some of my fave shoujo mangaka (art style edition!)

I said before that art no longer matters to me, but of course it’d be a total lie if I say I don’t have preferences. Of course I do! I am all for pretty, kawaii aesthetics. So when it comes to shoujo manga, I dare say that very first thing that will immediately grab this visual fanatic person (aka me!) is the art! Sure, sure that a LOT of shoujo manga failed me in this aspect—pretty to the eyes, numb—

This is a Confession of a True Shoujo Fanatic!

You’ve probably know already (if you’re a long time lurker and know me for quite a while) that I love reading shoujo/josei manga. What can I say a love the romance genre, regardless how cynical I am when it comes RL stuff (which I don’t wanna go further in anyways ) but reading romance is my silent sanctuary (also yes, sometimes it pisses me off how shallow stories can be, but who cares; mindless entertainment is what I need most—

The boys who fell too hard!

Male love interests falling in love first is one of those tropes that can easily convince me to try the manga (romance wise). I think I already mentioned it here how I immediately fall in love with stories if the main male love interest is the first one to fall. I don’t know why, in many stories, the way he struggles just to get the affection of his otherwise naïve apple of the eye is just so interesting. Plus, this—

Some of my favorite go-to reread manga series!

I’ve mentioned this over and over that you guys are probs sick of it. But lemme say it again: I’m huge advocate of rereading. There’s something really fun and productive (in a way) to read a series that you immensely loved. Knowing things prior is never a hindrance to enjoy it. In fact knowing things ahead kinda make me excited. Sometimes when you just read mediocre series after mediocre series you feel so fed-up & curse everything. But rereading reignites—

How do I keep up with my manga series?

I’m very up-to-date kind of fan when it comes to my favorite series. I know it’s not a requirement or necessary to be one but patience isn’t exactly my bestest virtue!  So I try my damn hardest to keep up with the releases; be it via magazine or volume releases! (but if you’re a patient manga reader then more power to you! Me, however, is a slave to my desires *flops on the floor*). I’m currently following so many series—

Regular: What’s On My Reading List? #11

June was chaotic, in a sense that I put myself into many things more than I can handle—or so I thought. I might’ve sacrificed my blogging time to fulfill these responsibilities but never my reading time. Thus my reading list was little too much this time around (again)! But some of this manga are short/one to three volumes titles. I might have cheated, now that I think about it. In addition I just found three new series that I can—

Shoujo Fanfare #4: All these kinds of “ships!”

This is final part of my Shoujo Fanfare. I hope you enjoy my nonsensical ramblings about shoujo and josei. I can’t believe that a month just flew by and now I’m posting this last piece I had prepared for this special feature. But once again, let me refresh your minds: Hello, this is Shoujo Fanfare, Rainyink’s Love Month Special Feature! In four weeks I will (try to) showcase my obsession with shoujo (and josei) manga. If you are fan of—
