Yes, January is over. Are your tripping over your resolutions like I am? Tell me guys, I’m feeling guilty here LOL.

First month of the year, and it’s over?! Yes, yes, it’s officially February, meaning it’s the love month and I’m still the hopeless romantic who has not aged since! (age is just a number!). Well, January was a semi-productive month for me. I did some designing, then I did some reading, I even reviewed it. GR said I’m 3 books behind. The year is not starting the way I wanted… *sighs* ^^; I need to step up my game for this month! *pushes sleeves* Yosh~!!! (But I have prepared posts for this month so hooray for productivity, miniscule as it is!)

January in a nutshell!

I also reviewed: The Last Time We Say Goodbye by Cynthia Hand and gave it 3.5 cupcakes! Yum! <3 (I definitely need to read more orz)!

Other fandoms, passion & whatnots:

So people are right, when it rains it pours! I was commissioned to design & currently doing it. I also recently finished Novel Tea’s design but it needs some more tweaking. Just Peach & my domain are getting facelift. Designs are done just need to code it but since I’m doing some side jobs, my personal projects just need to wait.

Also, Tokyo Ghoul √A just started this month. And asdhjlkjjlasfddg still excited even though it is different from the manga. But Ishida did the script so my unwavering faith is still there. Animation wasn’t at par as the first season but still giving it a benefit of the doubt. Speaking of TG, I think my copy of Zakki is lost in this vast world of international shipping *le sigh* I don’t know if they’ll replace it but I hope they do. T.T

But at least this fellas arrived:

(7 volumes to go, need to wait for yen/dollar rate to decrease!)

And some RL

I mentioned I was normally anxious and apparently very stressed out. During the holidays I wasn’t feeling well, like very lethargic and no energy. I felt like I was about to faint. My mom got worried and brought me to the hospital. And thank God, my lab results were ok and I’m fine just stressed. I don’t know why I was so stressed though. But I think my hyperactive brain that produces worries that shoot up my anxiety is to be blamed. And oh, I’m hypochondriac so…you know. P.P I need to toughen myself!!! >.<

Oh, it’s really cold, right? Gotta seize this chance because summer is just around the corner and heat will be unbearable again!

So that’s what had rolled down this January, so now I turn over to you beautiful bookish peeps; how’s last month?! Fun? Exciting? Whatever that is, share it with me!!!

  1. I’m glad your lab results were normal! I hate feeling stressed about nothing too. It’s so annoying. I get anxiety pretty quickly (i.e. surrounded by people lol) and that’s something I want to break this year.

  2. Goodreads tells me the same thing! That I’m a few behind. We shall catch up 🙂

Looking forward to seeing the new site’s designs. I’ve been messing around with mine some this year to for 2015.

I actually had very similar feelings. For MONTHS I was feeling dizzy and nauseous, particularly whenever I exerted myself. I went to the doctor probably 10+ times getting check ups and lab work done and even an ECG. EVERYTHING came back normal. At the time it was super frustrating because I wanted to find SOMETHING that was wrong so I could just deal with it, you know?

Eventually I did come down with an ear infection, which they said could have been causing all the dizziness and nausea. But it went on for so long (before and after the ear infection) that I’m thinking maybe it was just all in my head…

Luckily I’m all better now. But it was horrible. 🙁

It’s horrible, right? It’s not like we weren’t feeling anything. These somatic symptoms drove me nuts. Was so scared. >.<

LOL. You’re not the only one, Mitchii! I’m supposed to socialize and try to interact more with other bloggers but look what happened xD I didn’t touch bloglovin for a few weeks and now I have hundreds of posts on my feed. Very tempted to click that “mark all as read” button.

Ahhh I’m a bit less motivated to watch Tokyo Ghoul root A even though Ishida-sensei wrote the script because I’m a die-hard fan of the original story so it’s usually much harder to impress me if the adaptation is altered greatly. But hopefully your copy of the artbook will arrive safe and sound! I’m also expecting a package of books now (all of them are contemporary! finger crossed I will be interested to read them!) GAHHH THOSE HAIKYUU TANKOBON ARE SOOOO JELLY. It kinda sucks being a student with limited budget ><

    • Mitchii G. says:

I failed at it, too. orz It’s still a good show, tho the animation was really unstable in the latest. But yeah, I still feel bad that they weren’t animating the manga plot.

Yes, I’m gonna complete Haikyuu tanks! Go buy from yesasia, totally rec’ed them! XD

  5. I am actually going okay with my resolutions! If I don’t count my book fair spending, I didn’t even buy the one book for January I promised myself. Does that mean i get two this month? ;D

Goodreads says I am 2 books behind schedule, which makes me really sad because it means that I am not on top of my reading game! I need to be faster >.<

I cannot wait to see your new designs that you have been working on! Seeing your designs is one of my favourite things to do, haha. I love them so much <3

I hate it when things get lost in the mail! And damaged. I ordered an art book from TBD and it arrived ripped , bent, and coming apart. They are sending me a replacement copy, though, which is good of them.

Ohmygosh! I'm glad you are okay, Mitchii! Do you have any exercises or something to do to keep your stress levels down? I hope you are okay <3

    • Mitchii G. says:

So, so behind sched! D: Eeeep, I’m so excited with our designs for your latest blog. Still wasn’t sure about some details but it’s shaping pretty good! <3

I think I need exercise. I've always been a lazy person. I need to sweat it out LMAO. XD

  6. Faye M. says:

Awww, Mitchii! I hope you’re feeling much better now compared to before >:D< I stress myself out, too, sometimes when I don't even have a reason to be stressed but it just happens somehow @.@ In any case, your mangas look beaaaautiful. I have a horde of stuff here as well even when I know nothing about Japanese. That's going to change soon, though, because I just signed up for Japanese classes, woohoo!

    • Mitchii G. says:

I am now, I’m so thankful that things are normal. Eeep, good luck with Japanese class, I want to enroll to one, too. But I guess I have to stick with my books (classes are quite expensive. T.T)

  7. Megan says:

Oh, Valentine’s Day. Don’t tell anyone, but a part of me is hoping that something magical will happen this month with me and my crush. *blushing* I think all those shoujo manga have been getting to me and raising my expectations for teenage romance, haha! >_< I'm really glad that you've been getting more into blogging, Mitchii! And go us for reading more books, right?

And no pressure, but I've been dying to see Just Peach's new design! REVEAL IT SOON PLEASE! xD

Omg, them Haikyuu tankobon! I only own one of them (Volume 6), which I bought last year, but I haven't had the time to read through it yet. Argh. My Japanese learning is going really slowly. Oh man, I'm so glad you're okay. I think it's better to be safe than sorry, so it's good that you got yourself checked out anyway! I recently just got sick too (with the 'flu, even though I caught a cold during Christmas — why is my body so weak?!). Thankfully I'm almost well now. ^_^

Ooh, does the Philippines have four seasons, too? JEALOUS. I'm stuck in Malaysia where the sun is always shining and where mosquitoes fly in hordes. *weeps* Anyways, happy February, girl!

    • Mitchii G. says:

I send you tons of positive vibes for this upcoming Valentine. *pokes* ;D

Ugh, I have the design done but I’m still not contended. Ugh, I hate how fickle-minded I am!

Don’t worry, my study is pretty slow as well. I’m doing grammar but it is tough. I hate grammar. Never good at it (I don’t know how I able to communicate, props to people who can understand my musings!)

I’m glad I’m ok. It scared the crap out of me. I’m still scared getting these anxiety attacks. Man, need to toughen my resolve! xD Glad we are both better!

Nope, but January is the coldest month (with winter thawing above us, cold winds breeze through us). In hordes? 何?こわいでしょう! o.O
