Anime, News /

I’m again a little preoccupied with other interests (not necessarily anime & manga but you can say it dominates most of my time). I did read one book last week, but alas it was only a novella and I rarely review them. I want to make up this week and hopefully get to read at least two to three books. Aaaah, it’s so hard to resist doing the things I loved before these book obsession came. I do still love to read, I don’t think it’ll be gone. I don’t think it’s just phase thing. I’m a type of person who sticks to things once I liked it. So just need to sort time (and I’m not good at it. I’m pretty sure I deserve an award for procrastination and slacking).

Recap of Week 25:
Notable Releases:
Side Notes:

1. Ok where to begin, AAAAAH, yes I finally received my very first print ARCs haul. Like I’m massively happy to be able to get it. Finally!  They are here!!! Thank you HarperCollins International for sending me these awesome books.

2. I finished Psycho-Pass! Man, that’s one wicked and very dark series. I didn’t love it as much as I did with Shingeki no Kyojin (because that one is WTF in awesome ways!!!). I want to do like the post I did for SnK but I’m planning something else instead. Something about…separation (that’s the only clue I have for y’all.)

3. And, and, and MAGI!!!! I freaking love Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic. So many characters to love. When Samantha told me that she loved so many characters, I freaking flailed. Yes, she was right there were so many characters to love, I particularly love Alibaba, Aladdin and Hakuryuu and maybe, just maybe Kouen?! I’m almost done with season 2 and I can’t wait to see Alibaba’s djin equip!!! It’s going to be totally wicked! Eeep, I want to start the manga soonish!!! <3

4. In connection to # 2. I’m thinking about something…network wise. I’m already in the planning stages! <3

How was your week, guys? Any news you would like to share? Care to share it with me? :YAY: :D

  1. HarperCollins INT is the best 🙂 The Vanishing season sounds great! I’ve heard good things about Free to fall too. Happy reading!

  2. Finley Jayne says:

It definitely can be challenging balancing everything!

  3. I procrastinate waaaay too much, too. Worse still, I have absolutely no self-control. So if I want to watch a show instead of reading the books I need to, I’m going to watch the show. It’s a wonder my schedule is still on track even now. >.< But I hope you get to reach your goal this week! Personally though, I think it's okay to do what you want instead of read all the time, heh. xD

THOSE ARCS. It's so weird that I've never figured out how to contact HarperCollins INT and ask them for books, but thinking about how lame and desperate my message will sound, I don't think I'll ever try, lol. Anyway, you have some pretty sweet books there. I've only read The Vanishing Season and The Half Life of Molly Pierce, but those two were quite good. I preferred Molly Pierce a LOT more, though. That book was amazing.

Honestly, it's hard to think of any other anime being better than Shingeki because I'm loving that one so much right now and ALL THOSE TWISTS. And the soundtrack is AWESOME. Looking forward to this mysterious project of yours, though. ;D

I excel in procrastinating haha, and I often follow my whims on what I want to do and it’s wreaking my momentum. I hope to read this week. Even just one book. *sobs* The ARCs I just totally tried it and my expectations weren’t high but they’re too kind to let me have these. <3

There are lots of anime to watch, haha. In fact they're taking me away from reading. LOL

  4. Shannelle C. says:

You got them! :DDDD So so so happy for you, Mitchii! I’d make this commenting space my “I’m so jealous space” if I had read or heard of one of those books before, but I haven’t. Born of Deception’s cover style is very distinctive so I recognize it as the sequel for Born of Illusion, so I’m not going to go jealous over that.

You have been spared my jealous wrath, Mitchii.

But no, in all seriousness, I am so happy for you! You deserve them.

    • Mitchii G. says:

Thanks for sparing me, haha. I didn’t know they’ll accept my request tbqh. Is it wrong that I still find it weird that they said yes? ahahah XD

  5. Chyna Ngie says:

Get ready for free to fall! It kinda starts out slow and then all hell comes out lose HAHA

  6. First off, can I just say you’re awfully mysterious in this post. I don’t know if I like it. TELL US MITCHII! STOP HIDING EVERYTHING FROM US! 😛

Yay for getting printed ARCs! I’ve never received any. Is that weird? But I’m one of those strange bloggers that don’t request books or review ARCs or anything.

And enjoy your other interests! Just make sure you come back to ussssss <3

    • Mitchii G. says:

I like playing coy, haha. It’s a secret for now. ;D

You’re not strange, I find it admirable that you can resist requesting. If I know that ARCs can be this overwhelming, I should’ve minimized the request load. Aw, thanks. Not going anywhere but maybe taking a break?

  7. Leigh (Little Book Star) says:

Yay congrats on getting your first print ARCs! I remember when I got my first print ARC I was like “nooo waaaaay” because they didn’t email me if they accepted my request or not.

  8. Kezia D says:

Woohooo congratz for those print ARCs! Especially they are from Harper! I’ve only heard 2 from the stack but hopefully you will enjoy em!

AHH Psycho Pass! I wonder where Kougami went in the end 🙁 And the ending mirrors the beginning of the series which is quite cool but not “punching” enough if you know what I mean O_O Still excited for the second season though!

I haven’t finished Magi but right from the start I KNEW ALIBABA HAS THE SAME VOICE AS EREN. And I like the soundtracks — they gave me Middle-Eastern feel hahaha

    • Mitchii G. says:

Aw, thanks. Harper was kind enough to send me those ARCs. I’m quite happy!

I’m excited for the second season too. I actually more fond of Ginoza and I didn’t see the one about his father coming, like totally surprised me. I also wondering what’s left for Kougami. What is he going to do after that? *thinks*

It’s so good, absolutely loved it, Kezia. I loved the Arabian Nights feel to it. Kaji Yuki voice is <3, Alibaba is funny and not much like Eren so it's refreshing to hear him. 😀
