I want to go back to the swing of things...
I want to go back to the swing of things as swiftly as possible. And with that I’ve decided to return my old feature I called “What’s On My Reading List?”
This is a special feature on Rainy Ink where I present you the books & manga I’m planning to read or currently reading. I decided to do this in hope that I’ll able to de-clutter my ever piling TBR.
That feature of mine that reminds me I have tons of things to read. Sometimes feels like a chore, & sometimes an undeniable need.
Gonna cease this festive season to read more!!! And by read I meant books! I’m determined now (more than ever!) since I do miss reading and I think I have catch up on everything anime/manga wise so I should start giving some attention to my much neglected bookworm state. As of writing this post I’m reading a book so that means I’m getting there. Little progression is nice.
Romancing the Dark in the City of Light by Ann Jacobus
The Grace of Kings by Ken Liu
Wolf By Wolf by Ryan Graudin
Yes, no ARCs. I wanted to enjoy reading without thinking of reviewing them afterwards.
I spent most of my free time reading manga. I think this what I desire right now. I found great josei & shoujo series that I just can’t help to read them. As I said before most of them I have already read or currently reading them (* with the exemption of the last two titles which I haven’t started yet!).
A. – Answer by Hoshikawa Hachi
Barairo no Yakusoku by Miyasaka, Kaho
Ore no Shitsuji ga Ikete Iru by Souko, Masaki
Zettai Toudo by Yamada, Komomo
*Gozen 0-ji, Kiss Shi ni Kite yo by Minamoto Rin
*Kanna to Decchi by Ammitsu
A. – Answer has bit of mystery since the girl lost her memories & she has secret feelings towards A (yep, like Pretty Little Liars LOL) but she doesn’t know who he is! Added to the confusion is that she has a boyfriend! It’s intriguing in a way so I’m sticking with it. Now, if there’s an era on JP history that I absolutely loved that is the Taishou era! And that’s why I get into Barairo no Yakusoku quickly. My sister loved Tokugawa era (and she knows the story about the shoguns & stuff, she’s history junkie!) while this is mine. Although stated that it isn’t an accurate portrayal but damn, I still like it! Ore no Shitsuji ga Ikete Iru is hands down F-U-N-N-Y! The male lead is allergic to girls; like he has strong allergic reactions if he gets close to one. The odd thing though she isn’t allergic to the female MC! He hired her to help him out, take this: as his butler!
My fave among all my new reads is Zettai Toudo! Usually I don’t like older female + younger male dynamics/relationship because I don’t like childish guys who push adult woman! But this one is the sweet type. Unfortunately while I’m fond of the male MC, I can’t help but to root the other—older guy! He’s the boss of the female MC: gorgeous guy under his spectacle guise. Wooot~
I also have something that I’ve been meaning to start like Kanna to Decchi which sounds super cute! And then Gozen 0-ji, Kiss Shi ni Kite yo because I’m a fan of Mikomoto Rin’s earlier series so I hope it is as fun as the first two I’ve read.
My plate is obviously full and also I have some yearly specials preparing as of now! So yeah!!! Busy Mitchii is busy~ 😉
So how about you, how’s the reading pile? Overwhelming like mine? Care to share it with me?
