I’m bringing back my old feature which I called “What’s On My Reading List!” Basically, I’m just going to tell you which ones have added to my never ending pile. The schedule of this post is sporadic.
This is a special feature here, on Rainy Ink, where I present you the books & manga I’m planning to read. I decided to do this in hope that I’ll able to declutter my ever piling TBR.
Honestly, I don’t know why I keep torturing myself by searching high and low for more stuff to read, but strangely, I find enjoyment in doing so (I’m weird that way).
I checked netgalley yesterday I was once again awed with my luck when it comes to approval. Alas, what was waiting for me was another 3 approvals. (why, oh why, self, do you do this when you know you have plenty on your plate already?!) Oh well, they sound so good that it might have been the reason why I caved in so easily:[column-third-1]
I’m excited for This Raging Light because I heard great things about it; while Not If I See You First sounds so different to me. The MC has this impression despite her situation she is a tough cookie. Ah, I’m quite scared with A Thousand Nights because my last retelling (A Whole New World) was so boring. Be good to me, book!
This list is outnumbered by seinen series because I’ve been binge reading few shoujo one shots (and rereading old favorites) that I’m itching to get back to my niche—action/adventure series.[column-third-1]
- SEINEN: 87 Clockers, Biorg Trinity, Death Edge, Golden Kamui, Rikudou, Yakushoku Distpiari – Gesellshaft Blue, Yokohama-sen Doppelgänger
- SHOUJO: Meimon Danshikou Keppuuroku SSG, Tonari no Kaibutsu kun!
I’ve already read several chapters of Meimon Danshikou Keppuuroku SSG and Death Edge and both enjoyed them. Death Edge in particular, is very similar to D-Gray Man, even the art feels that way to me. However, I enjoyed the chapters thus far.
The first chapter of Yokohama-sen Doppelgänger & Rikudou were pretty solid, much more the former. So I hope that hype sustains the succeeding chapters.
So how about you, how’s the reading pile? Overwhelming like mine? Care to share it with me?
