A few on my watch-list were last autumn leftovers; Akatsuki no Yona, Nanatsu no Taizai & Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso. That said I still found winter season a wee bit promising. Granted I only have like 4 new titles to add to my anime reservoir, it was still plenty enough to get excited with. But among the four titles, only two I faithfully followed, while the two left me a bit unmotivated.
Tokyo Ghoul √A 『東京喰種トーキョーグール√A』
I already wrote TD;DR version of it last time. I think I have said my piece for it. Yes, I liked it despite the treatment it got.
Assassination Classroom『暗殺教室, Ansatsu Kyōshitsu』
I was already on the fence from the get-go; miraculously I managed to watch ’til episode 5 or 6 (until that blonde teacher came into the picture). It was cool concept but I don’t know, it didn’t grab me. It wasn’t funny as I hoped. Not action-y as I hoped. Not as refreshing/novel as I hoped. Yes, I had high hopes, none of it was delivered, sadly.
It has very intriguing premise. Vague but will not shun you away because of it. I managed to watch til episode 5. Then I forgot about it eventually. Maybe I didn’t like the sched (I don’t remember when to watch it *face palm* ). I’ll try to continue it. Soon? Maybe, maybe not.
Kuroko’s Basketball 『黒子のバスケ』 (Season 3)
I wasn’t too optimistic with KuruBasu at the start. I liked it but I don’t really, really LOVE it. The same devotion I see in my sister. But when it started, for some reason I got excited, I even watched couple of episodes raw (because subs took a while and I got impatient). I ate my words. So, ok I’m intrigued, my fault for saying that prematurely. And I might be intrigued to see Teikou arc. Also, the only series from this line up that I’ll continue in the next season. Speaking of here they are:
SPRING SEASON WATCH LIST:
Aired: April 8, 2015
Ok, this is the series I’m so excited to watch! When I marathoned the anime last year, I have no freaking idea what I was about to enter. I got so hooked that I read the manga in few days (that was bajillion worth of manga chapters!!! HUH!). So it’s refreshing for me to watch now that I know what the arcs/episodeS ARE about (Sunrise rarely—like really rare add fillers to Gintama). I have so many arcs I’m absolutely excited to watch: the soul switch arc, the joui’s fifth man (aka Kuroko no Tasuke—a parody), of course the love potion arc,
maybe the shogun assassination arc!!! Ah, so many. Can’t wait for April 8th!!!
Aired: April 9, 2015
I might have said my piece about manga here. If you want some not so typical shoujo, with not so typical but every endearing male lead then Ore Monogatari is you shoujo! This is a joy to read so I’m so happy that Madhouse was the production behind it. I expect great adaptation! Don’t fail me please!
Shokugeki no Souma『食戟のソーマ; 食戟之灵』
Aired: April 4, 2015
Studio: J.C. Staff
Bit behind with the manga but I think I need some anime boost to continue (just like Nanatsu did to me, after episode 1, I marathoned the hell out the manga!). If you didn’t know I love me some cooking/gourmet titles: Mister Ajjiko, Chuuka Ichiban & Yakitate Japan!! So I expect nothing but awesomeness!!!
I might (‘might’ is the operative word in this phrase) try these:
- Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru no Darou ka?
- Mikagura Gakuen Kumikyoku
- Owari no Seraph
- Vampire Holmes
